NFL Playoffs / Mordecai 78

It doesn't take a genius to figure it out. The Patriots came to the game totally unprepared. Sundays debacle falls entirely on the shoulders of Bill Belichick. He did not have his team ready and prepared with a sound game plan. How is it that the offensive line did not have a scheme to stop the ravens defense, thus protecting Tom Brady? Furthermore, has anyone (beside ESPN) noticed that the Pats are just not the same team as when Romeo Crenell, and Eric Mangini, were assistants? Those two have become horrible head coaches, but, they were the best defensive and offensive coordinators, respectively. Maybe, this might explain,  why the Pats just are not the same powerhouse as they have been in past years.

Good day to all you Casino rats, degenerate gamblers, fleas, laymen and pros alike. I wish all of you are able to figure out this weekends divisional playoffs with 100% success! And this would also apply to those of you in the WPP (Witness Protection Program).

There is no way this writer can make any sense of this weeks games. Well, there is one exception. Oh yes, we can probably pick the winners "straight up"; But with the point spreads thrown in, it becomes a different ball game. These lines are just too tight to figure out. The money lines are also, so skewered, that betting them would make for extremely poor values. Bottom line is that there is only one bet for me. We will play with the remaining money in our bankroll, and bet it on the Dallas Cowboys. This is more of a psychology thing than anything else. It is the belief here that the Cowboy defense feels that they can get to Brett Favre. Our thought is that Mr. Favre will be disrupted all afternoon, possibly throwing a few interceptions. This could possibly lead to the same meltdown that he had with the Jets at the end of last season. Right now, Dallas has momentum. Don't discount this fact. Their adrenalin will be through the roof, and they will act like it. Right now, they are the hot team, and they feel it. The 'Boys are like the sharks smelling the blood! 'Ol Mordecai really likes this play.
Bet Dallas + 2-1/2. There is no "vig" on this game, so that $40 is an even money play.
Our record is 17 wins, 14 losses, and, 3 ties, and, our remaining $40 is in play.
As I mentioned earlier, this is the only game I can make any sense out of. All the other game spreads are beyond any handicapping skills I may have.

Oh-Oh, here comes Grandma. She has that "I lost at Bingo" look on her face. Only one thing to do; Feed her. See you Pilgrims in a couple of days. May all our bets be winning ones!
