Tourists arrive every day in Las Vegas to enjoy all the glamorous forms of gambling. Usually it's Texas Hold 'Em, and for the hard core, it's craps and Black Jack. But, what about when it's time to relax and take a break, and yet, not wanting to stop being "in action".
Good day to all you rowdy pilgrims in whatever time zone you may be in. Life is good!
Sometimes, after 3 or 4 hours at the BJ or craps table, your brain gets to feeling like it has been fried. Yet, it's early. You crave to relax, but you don't want to feel like you are not "in action". Here's the solution. Go to the gift shop and buy yourself one of the major daily newspapers; Especially one with a good sports section. They even sell that "rag", New York Post out here.
Now, head for the Sports Book; Find yourself a comfortable seat (usually there is a video monitor facing each seat} and relax. Order a "cold one" or a "tall one" from the cocktail waitress and you're all set. Now you can relax and start handicapping teams from your favorite sport. You know, there is life after football season. Just think, you can sit back and root for that bum, Kobe, and enjoy the Lakers or Dodgers, or, whoever.
Remember the "Sports Book". It is one of the forgotten places in the casino.
Will talk to you pilgrims in a couple of days. Right now my brain needs toilet paper.
