Howard Hughes was born in Texas to an over protective mother, Allene Stone Gano and Howard Hughes, Sr. The exact birth date of Howard has never been confirmed, but Howard says he was born on Christmas Eve. Howard had a love of engineering at an early age; at the age of 12 he was featured in the local newspaper with his motorized bike that he made himself. Howard began taking flying lessons at the age of 14, which would lead to a very lucrative career. After the death of both his mother and father, Howard dropped out of college and married Ella Botts Rice, and they moved to California to follow their dreams in acting and directing.
Howard Hughes was famous for his many talents; he was an aviator, an engineer and a very successful movie director. In Howard’s first years in movies, he was almost passed up, being known as just a kid with rich parents, but he found instant success. Howard had many big films; his first one being “Everybody’s Acting,” and the second “Two Arabian Knights”, which won him an award for Best Director. Howard continued to direct films, and he received Academy Award nominations for “The Racket” and “The Front Page.” Some of Howard’s most famous films were “Scarface” and “The Outlaw.”
